My name is Chris Newton. My family includes my husband Steve, our oldest daughter, Melanie, and our youngest Michelle, who prefers to be called "Shelby". We live in Grafton, Ohio. A small suburb about half an hour from Cleveland.
We share our home with 4 great danes, 2 Chihuahuas, 1 Sheltie, and 1 Boston Terrier. We are active in both the conformation and obedience rings.
My husband, Steve, is a car guy. His pride and joy is his '69 camaro. He graciously puts up with me and my Zoo!! (as long as the garage belongs to him, NO DOGS allowed in the garage ) LOL! Sometimes living with 4 Great Danes and other small breed dogs, is no picnic! He is a wonderful man to indulge me as he does.
My daughter Melanie, is an Honor Roll High School student who is busy with her Cheerleading. The Chi-chis belong to her.
Shelby is the baby, who just turned 11 yrs old. She is active in 4H with her sheltie, Echo, and her newest addition, Mollie, a Boston Terrier. PharoahDane's is a small family affair. We don't have a large number of danes, nor do we breed often. We believe in the betterment of the breed, following the Great Dane Club of America Code of Ethics. We breed for temperament, health, and conformation. All of our dogs are health tested. Above and beyond the show ring, our dogs are beloved family members. When we have puppies available, we require that they go to loving homes who will provide all that is necessary for a long happy life. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to provide: proper nutrition, exercise, training, good vet care, including vaccines, heart worm meds, worming, flea control, and yearly checkups. And of course , lots and lots of LOVE!!
